CHRISTINA M. WELLING

My name is Christina Welling. I've lived on the east side of Michigan all my life! I've always loved working with children and idealizing my mom, in the teaching business for over 35 years, I followed in her footsteps. I graduated Michigan State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Since graduating, I have been teaching middle school choir, theater and computers in a suburban community in the Metro-Detroit area. After several years of teaching computer courses, I decided to pursue a masters degree in Educational Technology. In 2016 I finished my Master of Arts in Educational Technology degree from Michigan State University. I love using technology and incorporating it into my students learning! I also enjoy directing after-school programs such as the school-wide Talent Show, Musicals, and A Cappella groups! When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with others, entertaining and hosting friends and family. I also love decorating and designing my home and you can find me implementing the latest Pinterest project I've pinned! In addition, I enjoy traveling and have a long bucket list of places I would like to see someday. Furthermore, I enjoy cooking, gardening shopping, kayaking, biking, and the outdoors especially during the summer because I love the warm weather and having conversation over bonfires and barbecues.
